I am often the person behind the scenes, bring the details together and making sure things happen.

My career began in hospitality, including five-star hotels and resorts, where I learned to think ahead, pay attention and make people feel well looked after. Those habits stayed with me as I moved into corporate support, working with senior leaders and executive teams across different industries.

After more than 35 years of eperience, I established Jacqueline S Whelan VA in 2023, bringing that same care and practial approach to working with business owners.

More than managing a diary

My work has ranged from organising company-wide events to leading a software project from a dormant idea through to product launch at a public sector trade show. I enjoy bringing order to complicated situations, connecting the right people and seeing plans become something tangible.

But the everyday work matters just as much: following up the unanswered email, preparing for a meeting or making sure a deadline doesn’t slip.

A person you can work with

I’m friendly, straightforward and discreet. I’ll ask questions, get to know how you like things done and use my judgement to move work forward. You’ll know what’s happening without having to chase every detail.

Outside work, I’m usually happiest with a cup of tea, a good rugby match or time spent writing my latest novel.

I am based in Suffolk and support clients across the UK and internationally, primarily remotely, with travel and onsite support by arrangement.
